Here are the two options:
- Automotive Locksmith — We recommend going to a local automotive locksmith rather than a dealer, as dealers may decline to program an aftermarket remote for you. A locksmith with the right equipment (such as an Autel, AutoProPad, or similar key programmer) can program it on-site, often for less than a dealer would charge.
- Hyundai Dealership — They can program it but may prefer or require an OEM key, and the service cost is typically higher
Before purchasing, verify compatibility using your VIN. If you are not sure this remote is compatible with your vehicle, we can help you check — we just need the VIN number, and it is better to also share the make, model, trim, and year. It is a free service. This is especially important for Hyundai and Kia as there are multiple smart key part numbers that look identical but are not interchangeable.
