The AutoProPAD G3 Evolution uses a compact, palm-sized wireless Vehicle Communication Interface (VCI) that connects to the tablet over Wi-Fi, so you're not tethered to the vehicle by a cable. Before programming, pair the VCI to the tablet through the VCI Setup menu and confirm it's matched to the correct tablet serial number; a built-in self-test lets you verify the VCI is working. The tablet must be connected to Wi-Fi, and a signal-strength indicator shows when you're in range.
