Modern immobilizer algorithms are complex enough that decrypting them requires cloud-based calculation servers - something the tool's own processor can't handle on its own. An active AutoProPAD G3 subscription preserves that server access, which keeps the device compatible with newer vehicles from roughly 2018 onward. Without it, the tool still works offline for jobs that don't need server calculations, but you won't be able to download new updates or reach live technical support.
