Abrites AMS Annual Maintenance Subscription Tier 2

This is the Tier 2 renewal of the Abrites Annual Maintenance Subscription — the price that applies when your subscription expired more than 2 months but less than 12 months ago. It restores the same 12 months of cover as a standard renewal; only the price differs, because Abrites charges progressively more the longer a subscription is left lapsed.

The Annual Maintenance Subscription (AMS) keeps your AVDI diagnostic and working capabilities up to date with the latest functionalities and the legacy licences that belong to the basic software. An AVDI with an active subscription supports over 90% of the cars, trucks and other vehicles on the road.

What the subscription gives you

• The latest Abrites software version
• Updates to existing functions

What it does not include. The subscription covers the basic AVDI software only. Paid special-function licences — BMW, Mercedes-Benz, VAG and the rest — are not included; they are bought separately, and each one needs an active subscription to be purchased and used.

Highlights included in the basic AVDI software

• Key programming: all keys lost and spare key programming, plus EZS password extraction, for all DAS3/FBS3 Mercedes-Benz vehicles via OBDII
• Module adaptation: service password reading to make DAS-related Mercedes-Benz modules virgin, adaptation, personalisation and activation of all DAS/FBS modules, read/save/update/transfer of FBS data
• Key programming for CAS3 and CAS3+ BMW vehicles
• Key programming and all keys lost for Toyota, Lexus and Scion up to 2018 — G-type and H-type mechanical and smart keys, via OBDII
• Smart system reset for Toyota and Lexus up to 2018
• Key programming for Honda up to MY2022
• Full vehicle scan, module identification, DTC reading and clearing, live data, actuator tests, service interval reset
• SAE-compliant J2534 PassThru driver for running OEM software through the AVDI

Why the subscription is not optional. Every Abrites special function — BMW, Mercedes-Benz, VAG, Toyota and the rest — relies on a live connection to the Abrites servers for background calculations, which is why the licences carry the note "AVDI with an active AMS required". While the subscription is lapsed those licences cannot be used, and a new special function cannot be purchased at all until the AMS is active again.

Reducing the Tier 2 price. Abrites allows the Tier 2 renewal fee to be brought down to the Tier 1 level if you buy a full Abrites software package for at least one vehicle brand at the same time — worth checking if a brand package was already on your list.

Checking your status. Open the Abrites menu, choose a brand, and look at the top right corner next to the connection icon — it reads "AMS valid until" followed by the expiry date.

The renewed subscription runs for 12 months. It does not include technical support, which is covered separately by the Abrites Support Plan (SPS). An AVDI interface is required and your AVDI serial number is needed to process the order.
