Abrites TA31 Extractor
The Abrites TA31 Extractor is designed to assist in key programming procedures, chiefly in extracting PIN codes and security bytes.
Functions
- Extracting PIN codes from Hyundai and KIA vehicles
- Extracting the 7th byte of Component Security from VAG vehicles
- Cloning Hitag 2 keys
On VAG cars — the Passat B6 and CC among them — the TA31 cuts the time needed to extract the 7th byte of Component Security dramatically: in an all-keys-lost situation the procedure takes about a minute, provided the first six bytes have been read from the ECU. On Hyundai and KIA it assists with reading the PIN code from a working key.
It also serves as a cloning target for Hitag 2 transponders, in place of a TPX3 or TPX4, using Key Clone in the Tag Key Tool. Once the key is learned, a U-shaped KeyLine blade for the TA31 head can be cut and used to start the car — so one part covers both the extraction and the finished key.
Compatibility: Hyundai and KIA vehicles, VAG vehicles, and Hitag 2 keys.
What you need: the corresponding Abrites software and a PROTAG programmer — the TA31 is also included in the box with the ZN103 PROTAG — plus an AVDI with an active annual subscription. See the Abrites user manuals for VAG and for Hyundai/KIA for the detail.
