WHAT IT COVERS
Buick, Chevrolet and GMC, spanning 2010 to 2021, including the Silverado, Sierra, Tahoe, Suburban, Yukon, Equinox, Terrain, Cruze, Camaro, Colorado and Canyon. See the full vehicle list below before ordering.
WHICH LISHI YOU NEED DEPENDS ON THE LOCK, NOT THE KEY
The HU100 blade profile is shared, so the same blank serves both 8-cut and 10-cut locks - the cut count belongs to the vehicle, not to the key. Read the code series: a Z-series code is 8-cut and takes the HU100(8) tool, a V-series code is 10-cut and takes the HU100(10). Do not assume a tool from the part number alone, and note that the HU100 assignment changes on later Silverado and Sierra generations.
VERIFY THE KEY ON LATE MODEL YEARS
GM changed key systems partway through several of these nameplates, so coverage ends with a platform generation rather than with the nameplate. The vehicle list gives the exact span for each model. The Chevrolet Spark in particular has more than one key option - identify the key before you cut.
PROGRAMMING
This key requires professional cutting and programming. The procedure varies by model year and module, so confirm what the specific vehicle needs before you quote the job.
WHY THE ECO LINE
ECO is ILCO's entry-level transponder line, built for professionals and cost-conscious customers who need a dependable replacement key at a lower cost per unit. Same ILCO keyway and chip specification as the premium part, with the broad vehicle coverage the ECO range is built around, so it is a low-risk way to expand inventory without tying up cash in slow-moving stock. Where the two lines differ is origin and warranty: ECO keys are manufactured in China and carry a 60-day ILCO warranty, while the premium line is made in the USA and carries a 1-year warranty. For high-turnover work where keys are cut, programmed and out the door, ECO is the practical choice; for jobs that call for the longer warranty, order the premium equivalent TK-ILC-B119PT.
