Key Shell
Key shells are replacement housings for standard automotive keys, not car remotes or remote key fobs. Most include an uncut mechanical key blade and a holder where a compatible transponder chip can be installed. This allows locksmith professionals to transfer an existing chip or add the correct new chip to build a transponder key for the required vehicle application. The transponder chip is not included unless specifically stated in the product listing.
KEY4's current key shell selection includes FOBIKO Aftermarket Key Shells, a budget-friendly, high-quality option for daily locksmith work, and professional JMA Key Shells, with additional brands and options added as the range expands. Popular keyways include Toyota TOY43, TOY44, TR47 and TOY48; Honda HON66, HO01 and HON58R; Ford H72; GM B106, B107 and B111; Chevrolet and GMC HU100 and B119; and Nissan NSN14. Select each shell by vehicle application, keyway, blade profile, head shape and chip-holder compatibility. Blades are supplied uncut and require cutting before use.
