If you already have the Lonsdor JCD 2-in-1 Multifunctional Programming Cable, you do not need the Lonsdor Security Bypass Universal Programming Cable when using a Lonsdor programmer (such as the K518ISE or K518S or K518 Pro).
The JCD 2-in-1 cable is the Lonsdor-native solution for programming 2018+ Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Fiat, and Maserati vehicles. It connects directly to the vehicle via the Chrysler STAR connector, instrument cluster plug, or RFHUB computer connector and fully supports both all-keys-lost and spare key programming scenarios on your Lonsdor device.
The Lonsdor Security Bypass Universal Programming Cable is a broader, universal tool certified by Lonsdor but also compatible with other programmers such as AutoProPAD and AutoProPAD LITE. It works by intercepting the vehicle's CAN High and CAN Low signals and is designed to interface with almost all automotive transponder programmers capable of programming 2018+ FCA (Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep) vehicles — not just Lonsdor devices.
