This product is a key shell only — it does not include a transponder chip. It's designed as a replacement housing for a damaged or worn-out key, allowing you to transfer your existing transponder chip into the new shell.
For a 2009 Subaru Impreza, you have two options:
- If you already have a working key, you can move the chip from your old key into this shell, then have the new key cut to match your ignition.
- If you need a complete new key, you'll need a transponder key with the correct chip (4D62) for your vehicle — not just a shell.
Please note: key4.com is a B2B supplier for professional automotive locksmiths and auto businesses. For cutting, chip transfer, and programming, we recommend contacting a local automotive locksmith — they can supply the correct key, cut it, and program it to your vehicle in a single visit.
