This is a genuine OEM Mazda 3 smart proximity key (2010–2013, 3 buttons: lock, unlock, panic), but it is not ready to use as shipped. Two steps are required first. The emergency key blade inside the fob is uncut and must be cut to match your vehicle, and the smart key itself must be programmed to your Mazda's immobilizer and keyless system before the push-to-start and remote functions will work.
Key4 is a wholesale parts supplier and does not offer key cutting or programming services. If you are a vehicle owner rather than a locksmith, the simplest option is to take the key to a local automotive locksmith or a Mazda dealer, who can cut the blade and program the key to your vehicle. The key includes the transponder chip and a CR2025 battery, so once it has been cut and programmed, it will function as a complete OEM smart key.
