An active Tango subscription gives access to all Tango functions and features for 365 days. Every Tango function is marked by Scorpio-LK as either Base Software or Subscription — this renewal unlocks everything marked Subscription on your existing Tango programmer.

Functions Scorpio-LK adds while your subscription is active do not require additional payment.

What the Subscription Covers

Scorpio-LK organizes Tango’s functions into these categories, each function marked Base Software or Subscription:

  • Advanced Functions
  • Key Makers
  • Image Generators
  • Transponder Cloning
  • SLK Emulator functions
  • Transponder Tools

The subscription also covers the functions required by the Tango+ Toyota and Tango+ Subaru OBD frameworks, such as All Keys Lost, key learn/erase and IDcode & ESL registration on supported systems.

How to Order

The activation file is generated for one specific Tango device. Include your Tango serial number in the shopping cart so the activation can be requested from Scorpio-LK.

Important: The *.lic activation file is valid for 7 days after it is generated. After that, Tango will no longer accept it. Load it promptly after you receive it, and order only one renewal at a time — activation files cannot be stored for later use.

Buying a new Tango? Newly acquired Tango devices already include a free 1-year subscription upon registration and request. This renewal is for when that period, or a previous subscription, ends.

Activation

Tango.exe → Help → Updates → Activate License → open the .lic file

To check remaining subscription time:

Tango.exe → Help → Updates → View License — the first row shows the time remaining.

What Happens When the Subscription Expires?

  • Tango continues to operate normally
  • All functions marked Base Software remain available
  • Software and firmware updates remain available
  • Key makers activated on your device before the subscription continue to work
  • Functions marked Subscription require renewal

  • Windows PC with internet connection
  • Tango+ OBD functions require a compatible J2534 PassThru interface
  • Some functions require additional hardware — SLK emulators, transponders or other accessories — sold separately

This is a Tango subscription only. The Barracuda subscription is a separate product.
