Abrites BN012 Advanced Coding Functionality for BMW

The Abrites BN012 licence provides a wide set of advanced coding functionalities for BMW vehicles, covering the E-series, F-series and G-series. It is the licence that turns the AVDI into a coding and ECU tool for BMW and MINI rather than just a diagnostic one, and it is the one most often needed alongside key work — ISN reading in all keys lost jobs comes from here.

What each function is for

• DME / DDE ISN reading — reads and displays the ISN (Individual Serial Number) of the DME/DDE (Digitale Motor Elektronik / Digitale Diesel Elektronik) via OBDII. Very useful when programming keys in all keys lost situations.
• DME / DDE Dflash and Pflash reading via boot mode — reads and writes the Dflash and Pflash of the DME/DDE in boot mode, which is what makes key programming to FEM/BDC vehicles possible in all keys lost cases. The same option resets working hours in the DME/DDE.
• DME / DDE flashing — reflashes and updates the DME/DDE via OBDII, also used where reading the ISN requires a reflash first.
• Flashing and programming of all electronic control modules — changes the flash version of any electronic control module via OBDII, drawing on a large program flash database that is kept updated.
• Coding of electronic control modules — changes coding options and parameters and enables or disables features via OBDII: sport display, easy entry, start/stop, blower speed bars in automatic mode, video in motion, mirror folding, cornering lights, fog lights and many more.
• Default coding — codes a module to a specific vehicle in one click, for cases where coding has been lost or a module has been retrofitted.
• Vehicle order / central coding (VO) configuration — retrofits options, adds or removes modules and options and sets their default values via OBDII.
• Mileage calibration — reads and updates the stored mileage in modules that hold a mileage value: IKE, LCM, EWS, ECU, ABS, VTG, EGS and others. Dashboards are excluded because of their incremental memory.
• ID change — reads and changes the VIN when replacing electronic control modules.
• Service intervals reset — resets oil change, brake pad and other service intervals.
• FSC code generator — generates FSC codes when updating a head unit or its maps on CCC, CIC and NBT systems.

Supported models: all BMW E-series, F-series and G-series vehicles.

Recommended hardware. Abrites recommends combining the BN012 with the ZN151 Distribution Box Set for bench work and the ZN103 PROTAG programmer for key operations. If you are programming keys to FEM/BDC or BDC2 cars, BN012 is the licence that supplies the ISN — pair it with BN016 for FEM/BDC/CAS4 F-series or BN020 for G-series and BDC2 cars.

An AVDI interface with an active annual subscription is required to use this licence. Delivered electronically; your AVDI serial number is needed to process the order.
