The Abrites CB013 MSD/MSV Bench Connection Cable Set is proprietary hardware designed, developed and produced by Abrites. It connects the AVDI to an engine control unit on the bench, and it is required for:
- Reading the ISN of BMW ECUs on the bench
- Reading the PIN code of PSA engine control units (Peugeot, Citroën and other PSA-based platforms) built after 2001
Supported BMW ECUs: MSD80, MSD81, MSD82, MSV81 and MSV82. It is not needed for MSV80 — the ISN on that ECU is read by OBDII.
Supported PSA ECUs: all engine control units 2001–2021+.
What’s in the set
- CAN L (blue wire) — connects to CAN Low
- CAN H (red wire) — connects to CAN High
- B+ connector (yellow wire) — one terminal for +12V, the other for ignition
- GND connector (black wire)
Also useful for: bench work with the MN042 battery unlock licence on Mercedes-Benz hybrids and EVs — Abrites suggests the CB013 for unlocking through the voltage converter port. It is also included in the Abrites Full Software and Hardware Bundle for BMW, used with the BN012 licence for DME/DDE ISN reading.
An AVDI with an active annual subscription is required to use this product.
