Abrites ZN080 BCM2 Solder-Free Connection Set

The Abrites ZN080 BCM2 Solder-Free Connection Set connects the AVDI to VAG BCM2 modules on the bench so you can read and unlock (access) locked BCM2 units — the step that makes key programming possible on these cars. No soldering is needed: spring-needle adapter boards sit straight on the module, which makes the job faster and safer for the module.

Where it fits in. The ZN080 is the hardware for the VN020 CS Manager for locked BCM2 modules, which reads the component security bytes from locked BCM2 units for all keys lost on A4 / A5 / Q5 and spare keys on A6 / A7 / A8 / Touareg. Abrites also lists it as required hardware for the VN00K VAG key programming package.

What’s in the set

• Three removable BCM2 adapter boards with precisely placed needles:
  • Type A — BCM2 units for 8K models: Audi A4 / A5 / Q5
  • Type B — BCM2 units for 4H models (A6 / A7 / A8 / Touareg) with software version above 800
  • Type C — BCM2 units for 4H models (A6 / A7 / A8 / Touareg) with software version below 800
• CB035 Y-cable for the AVDI and ABPROG — DB9 for each adapter board, two DB25 connectors (one for the AVDI, one for the ZN045) and a DC power connector
• ZN045 adapter
• Plastic bolts to hold the needle board firmly on the BCM2 module
• Spare needles — the connection needles are easy to replace

The software version (above or below 800) is printed on the BCM2 label, so you can pick the right board before you start.
