    Springs, Shims & Caps

    Springs, shims and caps are replacement components used to service standard and interchangeable-core lock cylinders or refill an existing rekeying kit. Keeping the correct small components available allows a locksmith to rebuild cylinders cleanly without replacing a complete kit or mixing incompatible spring lengths and cap styles.

    The current LAB selection includes standard and tangle-resistant springs, short and long interchangeable-core springs, original manufacturer springs for systems such as Schlage, Kwikset, Corbin Russwin, Yale and Best, stamped and machined interchangeable-core caps, spring covers, curved shims and specialty spool or T-pins. LAB also offers a complete Spring Kit containing a broad assortment of springs, shims, caps, covers and specialty pins. Select each component by lock manufacturer, cylinder format, spring length and cap or cover type.
