EoneBoss NK001 Key Copy Sprite – NXP NCF29Ax Smart Key Cloning Tool

The EoneBoss NK001 (Key Copy Sprite) is a compact, mobile-controlled cloning tool built specifically for NXP NCF29Ax series smart keys. It reads and identifies the data from an original smart key and writes it directly into a new OEM or aftermarket key. Because the data is cloned rather than freshly registered, the new key is ready for immediate use on the vehicle — no OBD connection, no on-vehicle pairing, and no separate programming step required.

The entire workflow is managed from your phone through the free EoneBoss App (iOS and Android) over Bluetooth, so there's no laptop, no extra PC software, and no steep learning curve.

What It Does

• Reads and identifies the original NCF29Ax smart key (chip type and chip ID).
• Writes that data into a new NCF29Ax key — OEM, EoneBoss, or compatible third-party.
• Generates a ready-to-use key that works on the vehicle without OBD matching.

Chip Modification Function (NCF29A*)

Beyond straight cloning, the NK001 includes a chip modification function for NCF29Ax keys (added in the May 2026 update), accessible directly in the app:

• Change Chip Capacity — 8K, 16K, 32K, 48K, 64K
• Change Chip Type — Hitag2 (46), Hitag3 (47), Pro (49), AES (4A)
• Change Chip ID — custom chip ID modification

A Customized Service option is also available in the app menu for shops with R&D or production-specific requirements.

Toyota / Honda Same-Code Key Generation (Upcoming)

EoneBoss has announced a Toyota/Honda same-code key generation function as an upcoming update for the NK001. When released, it is described as supporting same-code generation for both Toyota and Honda keys, OEM and aftermarket, with 100% core data preserved and EoneBoss's anti-duplication algorithm. After processing, the key is intended to be ready for on-board programming. This feature is part of the announced firmware roadmap; confirm current availability before relying on it for a specific job.

Compatibility

The NK001 covers approximately 70–80% of the NCF29Ax series of OEM and aftermarket NXP smart keys. NCF29Ax chips are found across many modern Asian and European vehicles. There is no fixed vehicle list — the definitive check is to open the key fob and confirm an NCF29Ax chip is present.

Important:

• NCF29AG is not supported.
• With some third-party keys, remote/button functions may not map correctly or may conflict with the original key.
• If you're not using EoneBoss keys, the daily copy limit is 5 per day. Using EoneBoss keys removes the daily limit.

Mobile App Control

• Free EoneBoss App for iOS and Android (scan the QR code in the package or download from the App Store / Google Play).
• Bluetooth connection — press and hold the NK001 button for 2 seconds to power on (one beep), enable phone Bluetooth, open the app, and follow the on-screen steps.
• Real-time status display throughout reading, verifying, and writing.

Connection

The NK001 connects to the key's circuit board using the included connection board and cables. A solder-free workflow is supported, and EoneBoss also offers solder-free interface adapters for connecting key boards without wiring. The app displays the relevant wiring diagram during the procedure.

Power

The NK001 has a built-in 3.7V 450mAh battery and supports simultaneous charging and use (with the connection board). It defaults to external power and switches to battery when needed. It can be powered by phone chargers, computer USB, power banks, or standard 5V adapters. When the battery is low, the device beeps every 2 seconds until it automatically powers off — recharge in time.
